Capacity Sub-Tab

Once output connections are defined in the Image Sub-Tab the table in the Facility Cost/Rate tab will be automatically populated.

The following options are available:

  • Active: If selected, the production through the facility will be limited to the capacity defined in the Capacity column.
  • Capacity: Maximum fluid output capacity. Out connector capacity will determine the possibility of choking or scaling back wells (unless other excess policies are defined), as explained in Well Chokes.

It is important to understand that the fluid and gas calculations are performed on volumes under standard conditions. There are no 3-phase fluid calculations involved. This also means that capacity control is only available on liquid and gas flows - not on a mix of the two.

Injection and gas lift facilities have a second type of capacity defined in the facility General Tab (Facility) for their specific functions (inject water, gas or gas lift).

  • OpEx: Variable OpEx per unit of throughput.
Facility OpEx is calculated on output, i.e. after Consumption is deduced from the input.
